Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

And We have placed within the heaven great stars and have beautified it for the observers. 16 and have protected them against every accursed satan 17 so that anyone who seeks to learn [the unknowable] by stealth is pursued by a flame clear to see. 18 And We spread out the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and in it grew all things by a proper measure. 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 And there is not a thing, but with Us are the stores thereof. And We send it not down except in a known measure. 21 And We send the winds fertilizing, then send down water from the cloud so We give it to you to drink of, nor is it you who store it up. 22 And indeed it is We Who give life and it is We Who cause death, and We are the Inheritors. 23 We know the ones of you who press forward, and We know the laggards; 24 and it is your Lord who will gather them. He is Wise, Knowing. 25
