Alshu'araa' 10 of 11
The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 And I ask of you no hire therefor; and my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 Weigh with correct scales: 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 Fear Him who created you, and the generations of the ancients.' 184 They replied, "You are bewitched. 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 He said: My Lord knows best what you do. 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 191
