We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
