The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful 1

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds - 2 Most beneficent, ever-merciful, 3 Master of the Day of Judgment, 4 You (alone) we worship; and You (alone) we rely for help. 5 Guide us Thou unto the path straight 6 The path of those whom Thou hast favoured. Not of those on whom is indignation brought down, nor of the astray. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
