Then, when the Messengers (the angels) came unto the family of Lout (Lot). 61 he said to them: 'I do not know you' 62 They said: Nay, but we bring thee that concerning which they keep disputing, 63 "And we have brought to you the truth (the news of the destruction of your nation) and certainly, we tell the truth. 64 "Then travel by night with thy household, when a portion of the night (yet remains), and do thou bring up the rear: let no one amongst you look back, but pass on whither ye are ordered." 65 And We informed him the decision of this command, that at morning the root of the disbelievers would be cut off. 66 Then came the people of the city, exulting at the news. 67 He said, 'These are my guests; put me not to shame, 68 Fear Allah and do not disgrace me' 69 They replied, "Did we not forbid you to bring anyone to your house?" 70 He said, “These women of our tribe are my daughters, if you have to.” 71 By your life, they wandered on in their wild intoxication 72 But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning, 73 And We utterly confounded them, and We rained upon them stones of heated clay. 74 Surely in this are signs for those who examine. 75 surely it is on a way yet remaining; 76 Indeed in that is a sign for the believers. 77 And the dwellers of the wood surely were wrong-doers. 78 So We inflicted retribution on them, and they are both, indeed, on an open road (still) pursued. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
