And We have not created the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose; this is what the disbelievers assume; therefore ruin is for the disbelievers, by the fire. 27 Or should we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like corrupters in the land? Or should We treat those who fear Allah like the wicked? 28 (Here is) a Book which We have sent down unto thee, full of blessings, that they may mediate on its Signs, and that men of understanding may receive admonition. 29 And We gave unto David Solomon; how excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 30 Behold, there were brought before him, at eventide coursers of the highest breeding, and swift of foot; 31 And he said: Lo! I have preferred the good things (of the world) to the remembrance of my Lord; till they were taken out of sight behind the curtain. 32 "Bring them back unto me!" - and would [lovingly] stroke their legs and their necks. 33 And We indeed tested Sulaiman, and placed a dead body on his throne – he therefore inclined towards His Lord. 34 Saying: "O Lord, forgive me, and give me such a dominion as none will merit after me. You are the great bestower." 35 So We subjected to him the wind, that ran at his commandment, softly, wherever he might light on, 36 And [also] the devils [of jinn] - every builder and diver 37 and others linked together in fetters. 38 (Saying): This is Our gift, so bestow thou, or withhold, without reckoning. 39 And verily, he enjoyed a near access to Us, and a good final return (Paradise). 40
