Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
