The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 in towering columns. 9
