Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His wealth did not avail him, nor his acquisitions. 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 and his wife, laden with firewood 4 A rope made from palm fibre around her neck! 5

Almighty Allah's Truth.
