Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 and the night when it retreats 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 it is a warning to man, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 we fed not the needy, 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 like frightened donkeys 50 running away from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
