The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the night when it covers the day, 1 and by the day when it unveils. 2 and That which created the male and the female, 3 surely your strivings are divergent. 4 Thus, as for him who gives [to others] and is conscious of God, 5 And affirms goodness, 6 observe piety, and believe in receiving rewards from God. 7 But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, 8 and have no faith in receiving any reward (from God). 9 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery; 10 And what will his wealth benefit him when he goes down (in destruction). 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former. 13 So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing. 14 None shall enter it but the most unhappy, 15 Who denies and turns away. 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 Who gives away his wealth, purifying himself 18 not as payment for favours received, 19 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; 20 surely, he shall be satisfied. 21
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
