So go both of you with Our Signs. We shall be with you listening to everything. 15 Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds, 16 "'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'" 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 And thou didst the deed thou didst, being one of the ungrateful!' 19 He (Moses) replied: 'Indeed, I did that when I was among those who stray. 20 Then I ran away from you in fear, but my Lord granted me the law and has appointed me as a Messenger. 21 And this is the favor with which you oblige me: You have made the Israelites your slaves. 22 Firon said: And what is the Lord of the worlds? 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe." 24 The Pharaoh said to the people around him, "Did you hear that?" 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients.' 26 The Pharaoh said, "The Messenger who has been sent to you is certainly insane". 27 He said: The Lord of the east and the west and what is between them, if you understand. 28 (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" 29 He said, 'What, even though I brought thee something so manifest?' 30 Fir'awn said: forth with it then, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers. 33
