And when he turned his face towards Midian he said, 'It may be that my Lord will guide me 22 And when he came to the water of Madyan, he found on it a group of men watering, and he found besides them two women keeping back (their flocks). He said: What is the matter with you? They said: We cannot water until the shepherds take away (their sheep) from the water, and our father is a very old man. 23 So he watered (their sheep) for them, then went back to the shade and said: My Lord! surely I stand in need of whatever good Thou mayest send down to me. 24 Then, one of the two came to him walking shyly, and said: 'My father invites you, so that he can recompense you with a wage for having drawn water for us.' So when he came to him and told him his story, (the father) said: 'Do not be afraid, you have been saved from the nation of harmdoers' 25 And said one of the twain: O my father! hire him, for the best that thou canst hire is the strong and trustworthy one. 26 He said: verily I wish I would marry thee to one of these two daughters of mine provided that thou hirest thyself to me for eight years. Then if thou completest ten it will be of thine own accord, and I would not make it hard for thee; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the righteous. 27 Said Moosa, “This is agreed between me and you; there shall be no claim upon me if I fulfil any of these two terms; and Allah is the Trustee upon this word of ours.” 28
