The unbelievers say: 'When we and our fathers are turned to dust, shall we be brought forth? 67 We have been promised this, and our fathers before; this is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancients.' 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 But do not grieve over them, and neither be distressed by the false arguments which they devise [against Gods messages]. 70 They also say: "Tell us when this threat will come to pass, if you are truthful." 71 Say, "It may be that a part of what you would hasten on is close behind you." 72 Lo! thy Lord is full of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not give thanks. 73 Surely thy Lord knows what their hearts conceal, and what they publish. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 Verily this Qur'an recounteth with truth unto the Children of Isra'il much of that wherein they differ. 76 And indeed it is a guidance and a mercy for the Muslims. 77 Certainly your Lord will decide between them in His wisdom, He is the Almighty, the All Knowing, 78 Therefore rely on Allah; you are indeed upon the clear Truth. 79 Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. 80 Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none hear save these who believe in Our signs and who have submitted themselves. 81 ۞ And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. 82
