The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
