The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
