Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 When whither go ye? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
