Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 till you reached the grave. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 Then no! You are going to know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
