۞ When the son of Mary was mentioned as an example, you people cried out in protest, saying, 57 and say: 'What, are our gods better, or is he?' They do not mention him to you except to dispute, truly, they are a contentious nation. 58 He was no more than a servant: We granted Our favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel. 59 And if We willed, We could have established angels on the earth instead of you. 60 And indeed Eisa is a sign* of the Last Day, therefore do not ever doubt in the Last Day, and obey Me**; this is the Straight Path. (* The advent of Prophet Eisa to earth for the second time. ** By obeying the Noble Messenger.) 61 Let not Satan misdirect you. He is your open enemy. 62 And when 'Iesa (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me, 63 Surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore serve Him; this is the right path: 64 But certain groups created differences among themselves. Woe to the unjust. They will face a painful torment. 65 ARE THEY [who are lost in sin] but waiting for the Last Hour - [waiting] that it come upon them of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]? 66 Friends on that day shall be foes to one another, but the god-fearing. 67
