Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 until you come to the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
