In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha Mim. 1 A revelation from the most benevolent, ever-merciful, 2 A Book whose verses have been distinguished and explained, a lucid discourse for people who understand, 3 A herald of good news and a warner, but most of them turn aside so they hear not. 4 and so they say, [as it were:] "Our hearts are veiled from whatever thou callest us to, [O Muhammad,] and in our ears is deafness, and between us and thee is a barrier. Do, then, [whatever thou wilt, whereas,] behold, we shall do [as we have always done]!" 5 Say: 'I am only a mortal, like you are. To me it has been revealed that your God is One God; so go straight with Him, and ask for His forgiveness; and woe to the idolaters 6 Those who do not give zakah, and in the Hereafter they are disbelievers. 7 For those who believe and do good works is an enduring wage' 8
