No, by the moon! 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
