The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Allah's commandment has come, therefore do not desire to hasten it; glory be to Him, and highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him). 1 He sendeth down the angels with the spirit by His command upon whomsoever of his bondmen He willeth: warn that there is no god but I, wherefore fear Me. 2 He hath created the heavens and the earth with a purpose. Exalted is He above that which they associate. 3 He created man of a sperm-drop; and, behold, he is a manifest adversary. 4 And He creates cattle: you derive warmth from them, and [various other] uses; and from them you obtain food; 5 And wherein is beauty for you, when ye bring them home, and when ye take them out to pasture. 6 And they transport your loads to a town where you could not reach except utterly exhausted; indeed your Lord is Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. 7 And horses and mules and asses (hath He created) that ye may ride them, and for ornament. And He createth that which ye know not. 8 And [because He is your Creator,] it rests with God alone to show you the right path: yet there is [many a one] who swerves from it. However, had He so willed, He would have guided you all aright. 9
