1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 In fact, on that day they will be submissive. 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith! 29 We had no power over you. In fact, you were a people rebellious. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 and replied, "Shall we then give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 And you will be requited nothing except for what you used to do (evil deeds, sins, and Allah's disobedience which you used to do in this world); 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 Fruits of every kind, and they will be honoured 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 On couches, facing one another. 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 Then one turned to the other in an enquiry. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” 51 “Who used to tell me, ‘Do you believe it is true?’ 52 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, are we indeed going to be requited? 53 He will say: -- Do you wish to know where he is now?' 54 and then he looks and sees that [companion of his] in the midst of the blazing fire, 55 'By Allah' he will say, 'you almost destroyed me! 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)! 57 What then, shall we not die 58 except for our first death? Are we not going to be punished? 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 So is this welcome better, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire. 68 They found their father going astray 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 Observe, then, what was the end of those that had been warned, 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
