Forgiver (Ghaafer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ha'. Mim. 1 The sending down of the Book is from God the All-mighty, the All-knowing, 2 The Forgiver of the faults and the Acceptor of repentance, Severe to punish, Lord of bounty; there is no god but He; to Him is the eventual coming. 3 None except the disbelievers dispute the signs of Allah, therefore do not let their free movements in the land deceive you. 4 The people of Nuh and the confederates after them belied their apostles before these, and each disbelieving community advanced toward their apostle that they may lay hold of him and disputed with vain speech that they may confute the truth thereby. Wherefore I laid hold of them; and how terrible was My chastisement! 5 The word of your Lord that the disbelievers will be the dwellers of hell fire has already been decreed. 6 The bearers of the Throne, and those around it, sing the praises of their Lord and believe in Him, and seek forgiveness for those who believe: "O our Lord, Your mercy and knowledge embrace everything; so forgive those who turn to You in repentance and follow Your path; and preserve them from the torment of Hell. 7 Lord, admit them and their fathers, spouses, and offspring who have reformed themselves to the gardens of Eden which You have promised them. You are Majestic and All-wise. 8 And guard them against evil deeds; whomsoever Thou guardest against evil deeds on that day, on him Thou hast had mercy; and that is indeed the mighty triumph. 9
