Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
