Al-Haaqqah 2 of 2
But no; I swear by what you see, 38 as well as all that you cannot see: 39 most surely, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 40 And it is not the speech of a poet. Little it is that ye believe 41 Nor the word of a soothsayer; little is it that you mind. 42 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 And if he had forged concerning us some discourses. 44 We would have seized him by the right hand 45 and then severed his life vein; 46 And not one of you would have withheld us from punishing him. 47 And verily, this [Qur'an] is a reminder to all the God-conscious! 48 And indeed, We know that among you are deniers. 49 And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers. 50 And verily it is the truth of assured certainty. 51 So glorify your Lord, the most supreme. 52

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
