Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
