And warnings came in truth unto the house of Pharaoh 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those, or have ye some immunity in the scriptures? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 Anon will their multitude be vanquished, and they will turn the back. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you; is there any that will remember? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers, 54 In a good seat, near a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
