The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The Merciful One 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 Created man, 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet: 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
