Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 and would pray for forgiveness from their innermost hearts; 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
