Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
