Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Has not there come to you the news of the overwhelming calamity? 1 Many a face will be disgraced on that day. 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 They will suffer the heat of the blazing fire 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 With their endeavour well pleased. 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 In it is a flowing spring. 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 and goblets laid out, 14 and cushions arrayed in rows, 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 DO, THEN, they [who deny resurrection] never gaze at the clouds pregnant with water, [and observe] how they are created? 17 And the heaven, how it is reared aloft, 18 how the mountains are set firm, 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 Remind them; you are surely a reminder. 21 You are not a watcher over them; 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 Allah will chastise him with the most terrible chastisement. 24 for behold, unto Us will be their return, 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
