Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
