۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” 22 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 They will submit to questioning then, 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 These say, 'Why, you of old would come to us from the right hand.' 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 We mislead you and we ourselves had also gone astray." 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 Whenever it was said to them: “There is no true deity apart from Allah,” they waxed proud 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 Now certainly you shall be tasting the painful chastisement, 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 In the Gardens of delight, 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 Cups of wine will be presented to them in rounds, from a spring flowing in front of them. 45 Clear, delicious to drink, 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth] 51 Who used to say: 'Are you one of those who can testify to the truth? 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 He said (to others on the thrones), “Will you take a glimpse (into hell) below?” 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 He said, “By Allah, you had nearly ruined me!” 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 except for our first death? Are we not going to be punished? 59 This will indeed be great happiness. 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 They had found their fathers astray, 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 Other than the chosen creatures of God. 74
