3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
