The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 The closing night, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 So where are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
