The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the sun and its radiant brightness, 1 By the moon when it followeth it, 2 and by the day when it displays him 3 and by the night when it enshrouds him! 4 by the heavens and that (Power) which established them, 5 And by the earth and Him Who spread it, 6 And a soul and Him Who perfected it 7 then inspired it to understand what was right and wrong for it. 8 Surely blissful is he who hath cleansed it, 9 and he who suppresses it will be ruined. 10 Samood gave the lie (to the truth) in their inordinacy, 11 when that most hapless wretch from among them rushed forward [to commit his evil deed,] 12 the Messenger of Allah said to them: '(This is) the shecamel of Allah, let her drink' 13 But they called him a liar and slaughtered her, therefore their Lord crushed them for their sin and levelled them (with the ground). 14 He dreadeth not the sequel (of events). 15
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
