We verily have displayed (Our warnings) in this Qur'an that they may take heed, but it increaseth them in naught save aversion. 41 Say: 'If there had been other gods with Him, as they say, they would surely have sought a way to the Lord of the Throne' 42 Too glorious and high is He, too exalted for what they say! 43 The seven heavens extol His limitless glory, and the earth, and all that they contain; and there is not a single thing but extols His limitless glory and praise: but you [O men] fail to grasp the manner of their glorifying Him! Verily, He is forbearing, much-forgiving! 44 And when thou recitest the Qur'an, We set up between thee and those who believe not in the Hereafter a curtain drawn down. 45 We put veils over their hearts to prevent them from comprehending it, and We afflict their ears with deafness. When you mention your one and only Lord in your recitation of the Quran, they turn their backs in aversion. 46 We are well aware of what they wish to hear when they listen to you and what they say when they confer in whispers, when the wrong-doers say: "You are only following one who is bewitched." 47 See to what they liken thee, [O Prophet simply] because they have gone astray and are now unable to find a way [to the truth]! 48 Yet they say: "When we are turned to bones and bits, shall we be raised as a new creation?" 49 Say, "Be you stones or iron 50 ۞ "Or created matter which, in your minds, is hardest (to be raised up),- (Yet shall ye be raised up)!" then will they say: "Who will cause us to return?" Say: "He who created you first!" Then will they wag their heads towards thee, and say, "When will that be?" Say, "May be it will be quite soon! 51 “The day when He will call you and you will come praising Him, thinking you have stayed only a little.” 52
