The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
