The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
