۞ It is He who created you from one soul and created from it its mate that he might dwell in security with her. And when he covers her, she carries a light burden and continues therein. And when it becomes heavy, they both invoke Allah, their Lord, "If You should give us a good [child], we will surely be among the grateful." 189 But when He gives them a good one, they set up with Him associates in what He has given them; but high is Allah above what they associate (with Him). 190 Do they (the pagans) consider things that do not create anything but are themselves created equal to God? 191 and that have no power to help them, neither they help themselves? 192 And if you call them to guidance, they follow you not. It is the same for you whether you call them or you keep silent. 193 Those on whom you call apart from God, are servants the likes of you; call them and let them answer you, if you speak truly. 194 What, have they feet wherewith they walk, or have they hands wherewith they lay hold, or have they eyes wherewith they see, or have they ears wherewith they give ear? Say: 'Call you then to your associates; then try your guile on me, and give me no respite. 195 Verily, my protector is God, who has bestowed this divine writ from on high: for it is He who protects the righteous, 196 "But those ye call upon besides Him, are unable to help you, and indeed to help themselves." 197 And if ye (Muslims) call them to the guidance they hear not; and thou (Muhammad) seest them looking toward thee, but they see not. 198 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) adopt forgiveness, and enjoin virtue, and turn away from the ignorant. 199 If an evil impulse from Satan provokes you, seek refuge with God; He is all hearing, and all knowing. 200 Indeed those who fear get alerted whenever a temptation from the devil troubles them, and they perceive immediately. 201 Even though their (devilish) brothers would like them to continue in error, and would not desist. 202 If thou bring them not a revelation, they say: "Why hast thou not got it together?" Say: "I but follow what is revealed to me from my Lord: this is (nothing but) lights from your Lord, and Guidance, and mercy, for any who have faith." 203 And when the Qur'an is recited, give ear to it and pay heed, that ye may obtain mercy. 204 Remember thy Lord in thy soul, humbly and fearfully, not loud of voice, at morn and eventide. Be not thou among the heedless. 205 Indeed those who are with your Lord are not conceited towards worshipping Him, and they proclaim His Purity and it is to Him they prostrate.
