O People who Believe! Seek help from patience and prayer; indeed Allah is with those who patiently endure. 153 And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah "dead." Nay, they are living, only ye perceive not. 154 And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.). 155 who, when calamity befalls them, say: "Verily, unto God do we belong and verily, unto Him we shall return." 156 Such are they on whom are blessings from their Lord, and mercy. Such are the rightly guided. 157 ۞ [Hence,] behold, As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the symbols set up by God; and thus, no wrong does he who, having come to the Temple on pilgrimage or on a pious visit, strides to and fro between these two: for, if one does more good than he is bound to do - behold, God is responsive to gratitude, all-knowing. 158 Those who hide the authoritative proofs and the guidance that We have revealed, after it has been made clear for the People of the Book, will be condemned by God and those who have the right to condemn. 159 Except those who repent and do reform and disclose (the truth) – so I will accept their repentance; and I only am the Most Acceptor of Repentance, the Most Merciful. 160 But those who deny, and die disbelieving, bear the condemnation of God and the angels and that of all men, 161 In this state shall they abide; [and] neither will their suffering, be lightened, nor will they be granted respite. 162 AND YOUR GOD is the One God: there is no deity save Him, the Most Gracious, the Dispenser of Grace. 163
