3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
