Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the wise Qur'an. 2 that you (Muhammad) are a Messenger 3 on a Straight Way, 4 This is a revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful. 5 That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware. 6 Undoubtedly, it (their disbelief) has proved true for most of them, so they will not believe. 7 Verily We have placed on their necks shackles which are up to the chins; so that their heads are forced up. 8 We have set-up a barrier in front of and behind them and have made them blind. Thus, they cannot see. 9 Whether you warn them or not, they will not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the reminder and fears the Beneficent Allah in secret; so announce to him forgiveness and an honorable reward. 11 Verily We! We shall quicken the dead. And We write down that which they send before and their footsteps. And everything We have counted up in a Book luminous. 12
