AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 We have spread out the earth, how well We have spread it out, 48 And of everything We have created pairs; perhaps you will take heed. 49 Therefor flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from him. 50 And do not ascribe divinity to aught side by side with God: verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him!" 51 Even thus no apostle came to those before them but they said: "He is a sorcerer or a mad man." 52 Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people. 53 Turn away from them. You will not be blamed. 54 But remind, the Reminder will benefit the believers. 55 I created the jinn and humans for nothing else but that they may serve Me; 56 I seek not any provision from them, nor I desire that they should feed Me. 57 God is certainly the great provider, Lord of strength and power. 58 The evildoers shall have for their portion, a portion like their companions (who were destroyed before them). Therefore, they should not ask Us to hasten! 59 Woe, then, betide those who disbelieved in that Day of theirs which they are being asked to hold in dread. 60
