The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 Created man, 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 That ye exceed not the measure, 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
