Say: "O Lord, if I am made to see what has been promised them, 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 And indeed, We are able to show you what We have promised them. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 And I seek refuge in Thee, my Lord, lest they be present with me, 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 Then, when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 And those whose scales (of good deeds) are light, they are those who lose their ownselves, in Hell will they abide. 103 The fire will scorch their faces and they will be groaning therein in pain. 104 “Were not My verses recited to you, so you used to deny them?” 105 They will reply, "Lord, our hard-heartedness overcame us and we went astray. 106 Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. 107 [But] He will say: "Away with you into this [ignominy]! And speak no more unto Me! 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 "But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them! 110 I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, and it is they who have triumphed." 111 [And] He will ask [the doomed]: "What number of years have you spent on earth?" 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 So do you think that We have created you needlessly, and that you do not have to return to Us? 115 Now Allah be Exalted, the True King! There is no Allah save Him, the Lord of the Throne of Grace. 116 And whosoever calleth, along with Allah, unto god, of whom he hath no warranty, then his reckoning is only with his Lord; verily thrive will not the infidels. 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
