▼ 15 The Hijjr Valley
Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 We brought them signs, but they turned away. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace. 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 concerning that they were doing. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 We know indeed thy breast is straitened by the things they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
True are the words of God the Almighty.

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
