And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Do you not see that even if We give them respite for years 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 And We destroyed no township but it had its warners 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 for, neither does it suit their ends, nor is it in their power [to impart it to man]: 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the Satans come down? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 The devils convey upon them what they heard, but most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Do you not see how they wander aimlessly in every valley, 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
